Norfolk Wherries
A Wherry is a
form of sailing barge used in East Anglia. They were
fewer in number than the Thames sailing barge but harder to
track. They were not registered and did not carry an
'Official Number'. They would have escaped the
regulations because of their size or the fact that they were
employed exclusively in the river trade.
